7/12 -- FAIR

Down to 800 CFS (from 1200 a week ago), but average is 300. Fish edges. Best early and late in shade.

Down to 1000 CFS, but still uncrossably high. Use weight in soft water. Stones.

High but clear, down to 1200 from 2800 a week ago (vs. 300 normal). Probably high for all of july. Best in a.m. and p.m., in slow pockets. Stones, birds nests, micro mayflies.

7/1 -- FAIR

Spiked at 3000 CFS tuesday, but now back to 1900, still high. Drakes, caddis, stones, PMD's. Ted Fay feels flows have peaked and "the rapid drop I'm seeing today should open spots up for this coming 4th weekend. " (read below).

6/28 -- FAIR

Flows down to 1700 (from 2000 CFS last week). Stale report, but flows dropping (good), so keeping rating steady. HOWEVER: Significant rain(!) through early wednesday may change the math here, so call ahead.

High at 2200, but clear. Fish seams, including near bank. Stones, generic mayfly nymphs. Careful if you wade.

Flows still high, fluctuating between 2100 and 2500 for a few days (500 is normal). No new reports since 6/16. Assume the same (though may have improved with stabilizing flows and warm weather).

Oscillating between 2300 and 3000 CFS last few days (high), but slowly dropping. Fish banks, seams. Nymph stones, mayflies. Better wading in july.

6/13 -- FAIR

Ted Fay: "The Upper Sac has been a sensitive little lady lately." Erratic. Dries can be excellent, but not consistent. Warm days = better evening hatches. Drakes (green, gray), stones (golden, little yellow), caddis. Sounds tasty.

Flows up to 2800 CFS (from 2500 monday). Report non-informative. Downgrade to poor in absence of info except higher flows. Call or email locals.

Flows are up and down (though generally high) depending on weather (air temp and precip). Nonetheless, some fishing can be had with heavily weighted nymphs. Sporadic hatches from 10am to 4pm. Stones, mayflies, drakes and caddis.
