9/20 -- GOOD

Streamers.  High water has diluted the significance of any hatches.  Cooler water.  Both branches high, turbid, unwadeable, but floatable: west 1800 CFS (vs 500 avg); east 960 (vs 550 avg).

9/9 -- POOR

Both branches blown out due to rain: west 12,000 CFS (vs. 1000 avg), peaked at 22,000 tuesday; east at 15,000 (vs. 150 avg), still just below peak.  Dry weather is forecast; call ahead to see if fishable this weekend.

9/2 -- POOR

East branch receding but still unfishable (2800 vs. 274 avg).  West higher with increased releases but floatable (1860 vs. 654 avg): streamers, caddis, olives, tricos, sulfurs.

8/31 -- POOR

West branch recovering from hurricane more quickly than east at 1400 CFS west (vs 666 avg), though trubid and unwadeable with some algae.  Streamers, sulfurs, caddis, olives, isonychia, cahills.  East is muddy, debris-ridden and unfishable at 5920 (vs. 292 avg).   West branch spiked at 10,000 CFS, east branch at 14,000 at Harvard.  Call ahead.  Northern Catskills were hit much harder than southern (where Upper Delaware is located).

East branch high (896 CFS, vs. 275 avg), limited wading.  West near normal, but some algae.  Cadis, sulfurs, olives, isonychia, cahills.   Hurricane may hit sunday.

8/12 -- GOOD

Receding, but on west branch floating is better than wading, with slime a non-issue right now.  East branch steady.  Caddis, sulfurs, olives, tricos, isonychias, cahills.

8/8 -- FAIR

West branch up to 780 CFS (was up to 2100) and murky due to emergency release (higher flows should help beat back the reported slime); east steady at 266 CFS (which is normal). Tricos, olivers, sulfurs, caddis.

Wadeable summer flows: 632 CFS west, 209 east. Rain would help temps during this hot weather. Good insect activity: sulfurs, BWO's, isonychias, cahills, caddis. West colder & more consistent. Terrestrials when no hatches.

Water still in upper 40's, wadeable at 648 CFS west, 643 east. Continued good surface activity: midges, caddis, olives, sulfurs, isonychias, terrestrials. Reservoirs 104.3% of normal.
