Better downstream than up. "...some nice steelhead". No more detail. 450 CFS for 3 days (vs 340 avg).

Lots of salmon moving in and the Fly Shop assumes steelhead "are in the mix." Could start popping any day. 450 CFS for a week (vs 360 avg).

620 CFS (vs. 400 avg). No new reports.

8/31 -- POOR

River is receding (now 1600 CFS) after spiking at 3500 friday (avg. is 450). Can't help fishing. Should stabilize at 450 again around 9/1. Report is not very useful unless you have ESP. Call ahead.

450 CFS > a week (vs. 400 avg). Decent wading. Best mornings, late afternoons in the Lewsiton area fly fishing only section. Nymphs; or rising fish in tailouts.

Flows expected to ramp up starting 8/28 to 2650 CFS on 8/30, then back to 450 on 9/1 (could change). Currently 450 CFS (which is avg).

430-440 CFS for a week; scheduled to rise 8/28, eventually to 2650. No new reports

Flows will increase starting 8/28 up to 2650 CFS for Hoopa indian tribe canoe ceremonies, then back to 450 CFS 9/1 (which is the current flow and the avg for this time of year). Best in lewiston fly fishing only section with small mayfly nymphs. Halfpounders, rainbows, browns. Salmon fishing well, if you care.

Flows dropped like a stone to 450 CFS on 8/1 (from 600). Some trout, no steelhead reports yet. Humpies, wolly buggers, pt's, copper johns, birds nests, golden stones.

Water levels are down to a wade friendly 450 cfs as of August 1st. Salmon are showing up near Junction City. The fly water only section in Lewiston, CA should offer better fishing with the lower, more manageable flows.

7/28 -- FAIR

700 CFS for > 4 days, scheduled for 450 in a few days for the rest of the summer. Browns, summer steelhead up to 4-5 lbs.
