7/12 -- GOOD

Erratic hex (not as good as other years). More insects upstream. Some PMD's, tricos, spinners in a.m. Mayfly nymphs -- perhaps better than dries.

7/8 -- FAIR

Mixed bag. Hex in the evening. Dries by day, but fish are finicky.

7/6 -- VERY GOOD

HEX is on! -- evenings. PMD's in mornings. Dry > wet except mid-day. Mayflies. Summer is here.

7/1 -- GOOD

Unaffected by rain (apparently) since it's a spring creek. PMD's, nymphs. A few hex on lower stretches.

6/28 -- GOOD

Hex started as of 6/25, but light. May be intensifying, however rain(!) through wednesday may muck things up. Nymphing has been good.

Hex imminent. Water and hatches are great, but fishing not rising to the same level yet. Evening caddis, PMD's.

PMD's until 1:00, then usual small mayflies and small streamers. A few hex's.

Abundant insect activity in great water conditions, but a little erratic. Hex on the horizon with warmer weather in store. Now: PMD's 11-2, then subsurface when wind picks up. Evening caddis.

Sunny, warm weather, but nymphing still the ticket. Sun making it harder to catch fish.

Incoming warmer, drier weather should sweep out some of the BWO's and PMD's but accelerate other surface activity -- net impact, positive.

No new reports. Presumed no big change.

6/1 -- FAIR

Water good (especially upper sections). Weather is fickle (will continue this week), fish switch between flies often. Good surface activity with PMD's 10am - 3pm, , BWO's and green drakes plus green leeches with sinking line.

Stable spring creek unaffected by high water in northern California. Best bet nymphs; try BWO's when cloudy.

As a spring creek, fishing should be better than the surounding freestones and should not have changed much since last week, but no reports for a week.

5/20 -- FAIR

Midges, BWO's and PMD's with hatches midday. You don't need to worry about flows on this spring creek.
