16,000 CFS > a week (vs 8000 avg).  No new reports.  Downgrade since no reports for a week.  Call ahead.


9/13 -- GOOD

16,000 CFS (vs 9500 avg).  No new reports.  Assumed same.


9/9 -- GOOD

Midges, use 2-fly setup deep.  Hard to discern quality from report, thus downgrading a notch.  16,000 CFS > a week (vs 10,200 avg).

9/6 -- VERY GOOD

17,000 for > 4 days (vs. 10,000 avg), should stay there for 2 months.  Improvement due to lower, wadeable flows.

Lower autumn flows beginning: semi-waeable 16,000 CFS, fluctuating somewhat (vs. 11,000 avg., and down from 26,000 monday).  Midges.

Midges, scuds, sj worms, streamers, eggs.  Flows 22,000 after extended 26,000 (vs. 13,000 avg).  Scheduled to go down to 15,500 in early september where it will remain for through october.  Should improve fishing, but will be some adjustment periods for the fish

Fly shops swallowed in massive dust storm? No new reports. Steady at 25,000 for over a week. Dowgrade due to lack of info, but could still be good (call ahead).

"Cicadas, monsoons, and high water" (Lees Ferry, below). Fairly steady at 24,000 CFS. Cicada hatch not as strong as usual. Heavy nymphing with long leader. San juan worms, scuds, midges.
