Wadeable, fishable, but high (700 CFS vs 120 avg).  Streamers and nymphs.  Olives, isonychia, tricos, caddis.

Very limited wading and bank fishing.  But should continue receding rapidly (if no rain).  1000 CFS (vs 100 avg).

Blown out due to rain.  5500 CFS (vs. 100 avg), peaked at 21,000 tuesday.  Dry weather forecast for weekend.  Call ahead to see if fishable this weekend.

Muddy, not very fishable at 1500 CFS (vs.100 avg) due to t-storms.

Still high at 1080 CFS (vs. 120 avg), but receding and fishable (even limited wading).  Streamers.

8/31 -- POOR

Too high, unfishable (1800 CFS vs 110 avg; peaked at 30,000 sunday!).  Dropping and clearing quickly.  Possibly some wading by mid-week.

Best a.m., p.m.  Olives, sulfurs, tricos, caddis, midges, terrestrials.  Dropping, weadeable.  Great conditions for August.  500 CFS (vs. 100 avg).  Water cooling.

8/19 -- FAIR

"Down" to 900 CFS (from 250 monday, vs. 100 avg).  Cool, clear enough water, but limited wading and hatches at these high flows.  Tricos, sulfurs, caddis, olives.  If no hatches, then small nymphs, terrestrials.  Midges.

Flows have spiked to 4000 CFS (12am tuesday) due to rain, vs. 120 normal.  Call ahead.

Receding, cooler water, good for august, but still watch for temps (don't fish if > 70 degrees).  Midges, tricos, caddis, some sulfurs, terrestrials.

Rain has raised (350 CFS) and cooled (63 at 5:45 a.m. monday) water. Fishable, but watch temps. Olives, sulfurs, cahills, isonychia.

Cold front & t-storms have cooled and raised water. Fishable and wadeable at 347 CFS and 63 degrees in the a.m. Olivers, sulfurs, cahills, isonychias, caddis, midges -- a.m. and p.m. Terrestrials.

Flows just skyrocketed from 150 CFS (normal) to 900 due to t-storms. This may solve the low, warm water problem, but blow out the river for a few days.
